Ellen Darby moved to southern York County in 1976. Drawn by the area’s dirt roads and farm houses, she first settled in an old homestead nestled along the border of Rehmeyer’s Hollow. She subsequently lived in and helped renovate several local farm houses. Her diverse background includes work in environmental, residential, and commercial construction; contract drafting and negotiation; publishing; typesetting; bilingual import/export sales; and teaching.
Ellen holds a degree in Philosophy and Early Childhood Education from SUNY Binghamton. She attended El Instituto de Estudios Iberoamericanos in Mexico, the Boston University Overseas Program at the University of London, and the Institute of Real Estate Studies in New Cumberland, PA.
An avid biker, swimmer, and hiker, Ellen enjoys the amenities available in Southern York County.
